Adopted agricultural policy reforms

Swiss agricultural policy has developed in several phases since the 1990s. The most significant change was introduced in 2002, when the price support system was replaced by a direct payment system decoupled from production. In Agricultural Policy 2014–2017, direct payments were aligned more closely with constitutional objectives. The two most recent changes decided by Parliament are the implementation of parliamentary initiative 19.475 and Agricultural Policy 2022+.
