The Global Soil Partnership is tasked with improving the management of limited soil resources around the world so that healthy and fertile soils can ensure global food security and support other key ecosystem services while considering the legal sovereignty of every country over its own natural resources. A strong partnership between the various actors is needed to maintain healthy soils in order to feed the world’s growing population and to cover its needs for biomass (energy), dietary fibre, animal feed and other products.
The Global Soil Partnership also aims to raise awareness of the subject and to contribute to use of the best available scientific information and to facilitate or provide inputs for the exchange of knowledge and technologies.
