Import from third countries

Imports of plant material from third countries will be subject to stricter rules from 2020, including passenger traffic. The import of living plant material (plants, fruits, vegetables, seeds, etc.) from third countries will only be possible with a phytosanitary certificate. In some cases requirements will be stricter than with the current legislation. A temporary ban on plants and plant products that represent a high phytosanitary risk may also apply, depending on the country of origin.
