International cooperation
Whether it's the United Nations, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, or the World Trade Organization – the Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) participates when countries from around the world come together to discuss agriculture and food systems. It represents Switzerland's position on the international stage, helps shape global cooperation and seeks global solutions to global problems.

Free trade agreements
In addition to the EFTA Convention and the free trade agreement with the EU, Switzerland currently has a network of 33 free trade agreements with 43 partners.

Trade analyses
The FOAG uses statistics and quantitative tools such as CAPRI and SATURN to analyse trade agreements.

Sustainable food systems
The Confederation is committed to promoting the transition towards sustainable food systems in Switzerland and abroad. The FOAG is actively involved in supporting and shaping this transformation at international level.

International organisations, partnerships and instruments
The Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) is involved with and in numerous organizations to support the transformation of food systems towards greater sustainability.
